American Flag Dessert
If tomorrow all my things were gone
I’d work for all my life.
And I had had to start again,
With just my children and my life.
Then I’d thank my lucky stars to be livin’ here today,
Cause the flag still stand for freedom and they can’t take that away

“I believe in America because we have great dreams, and because we have the opportunity to make those dreams come true.” -W.L Wilkie
And I’m proud to be an American
Where at least I know I’m free
And I won’t forget the ones who died who gave that right to me
And I’ll gladly stand up next to you and defend her still today
Cause there ain’t no doubt I love this land, God Bless the USA.
-Lee Greenwood

Important Recipe Notes:
- Some puff pastry sheets take longer to cook than others. Like literally up to double the time when the sheets are covered. If your puff pastry sheets don’t look golden or cooked when the called for amount of time has been spent then it is not finished cooking. Continue to bake until golden and crisp.
- You do not HAVE to have the puff pastry covered with a second pan. This is solely to keep it even for esthetic purposes. It will not affect the flavor at all. For a more puffy though perhaps not evenly puffed pastry: bake uncovered.
