- 2 eggs
- 1 cube butter (8 tablespoons), plus more for greasing the pans
- 1 cup milk
- 1/3 c sugar
- 1 tsp salt
- 1tsp baking soda
- 4 c all purpose flour
- 2 TBS instant yeast
- 2 Tablespoons Butter
- Prep the Pans: Grease 2 standard loaf pans with approximately 1 tablespoon of butter each.
- Mix Dry Ingredients: In a big bowl, combine 1 cup flour, sugar, salt, baking soda and yeast.
- Warm Buttermilk Mix: In a small pan, warm buttermilk and butter until it's melted and warm to the touch (around 130°F).
- Combine Wet and Dry: Add the warm buttermilk mix to the dry ingredients. Mix well.
- Add Eggs: Mix in the egg and beat for 1 more minute.
