Combining a few fabulous key flavors like grape, lemons, and berries, we get a surprisingly delightful and fantastic mocktail that is sure to fancy up and add a touch of fabulous to any occasion!
Always keep that place where the magic grows inside of you, alive.
There is just something magical about wearing a tulle skirt and drinking a light and refreshing, fancy drink.
Have you ever experienced that moment as the bubbles fizz, dance, and skip over your tongue, then you feel the swoosh of light fabric brush your legs; And suddenly you just have to twirl?!
That’s how I felt as I drank this wonderful Champagne Lemonade Mocktail while wearing my beautiful skirt from C’est ca New York!
It’s a hard feeling to describe, kind of like there are fairies playing in the corners of your vision and you’ve just partaken of their faie food so you can now taste the sunshine on your tongue and feel it’s rays spread throughout your body! It’s a warm and light and happy feeling all at once!
By choosing to be our most authentic and loving self, we leave a trail of magic everywhere we go…
After that description, you are probably thinking I am drunk; if not on faie food and drink then on something else. Haha!
Let me assure you, I am completely sober. In fact I’ve never drunk any form of alcohol in my life (I do not judge you if you like to drink as some forms of alcoholic beverages sound delightful!!! I don’t drink specifically because I don’t believe in eating or drinking or doing anything that will take away or inhibit My rights, choices and decision making abilities for My own body).
However, if I did drink something alcoholic… It would be champagne!
You are magic, don’t ever apologize for the fire inside you!
Champagne: why champagne? You may ask.
Reader do you remember the hilarious movie I talked about and quoted in my Strawberry Lemon Napoleon post? It’s name is Gigi and since I was about six years old I can remember watching it about 15 times a summer. I LOVED that old movie!
Besides the fabulous acting and the hilarious storyline, there are some amazing songs. (Songs that I now realize I had absolutely no idea what was being talked about!)
One said song is “The night they invented Champagne”
The night they invented champagne
It’s plain as it can be
They thought of you and me
The night they invented champagne
They absolutely knew
that all we’d want to do
Is fly to the sky on champagne
And shout to everyone in sight
That since the world began
no woman or no man
has ever been as happy as we are tonight!
I mean seriously, how fabulous does champagne sound?! Can you see why I’ve wanted to try champagne since I was six years old?! If you can’t, then you need to go watch the movie and then you will understand. Haha!
It is impossible to make your eyes twinkle if you aren’t feeling twinkly yourself. -Roald Dahl
Well I decided at a very young age that I would not drink alcohol. Because of this decision, I have never tried that dreamed of Champagne. Haha!
Then, a couple years back I brought a Frenchberry Lemonade to a party. Everyone thought it was champagne. GOOD Champagne according to those who would know… That frenchberry lemonade was already my most favorite drink ever, so to find out it tasted like childhood dreams… Well! I obviously needed more of it!
The only store I can purchase it at however is few and far between in location.
Therefore, I had to create my own version of the drink! Enter: this oh-so-magical Champagne Lemonade Mocktail!
May you touch dragonflies and stars, dance with fairies, and talk to the moon…
You guys, I am in love with this skirt; I can’t stop twirling in it! The day I received it in collaboration from C’est ca New York; after putting my kids to bed… I put it on and then I pushed my couch against the wall and moved the coffee table. Then dear reader can you guess what I did???
I danced! I danced, and I danced, and I danced some more. Pretending I was a prima-ballerina; I danced around my living room like a 4 year old in a brand new twirly dress.
And that little bit of magic I have clung to since my youth: it was there! And it was delightful…
Choose to love someone who looks at you like maybe you are all the magic in the world.
Okay, I think I have gushed and jabbered long enough! I feel very enthused and I hope you’ve been amused…
Enough talk, let’s drink!
