Picture this: an early quiet morning, sitting on the front porch, and sipping a sophisticated and wonderfully delicious cup of herbal iced tea.
This is my favorite way to start the day; with a copycat of Starbucks Passion Tango Herbal Iced Tea. It’s light yet rich; the flavors hit your tastebuds in layers of delightful wonderfulness.
As you may have figured out from my Champagne Lemonade Mocktail post; I LOVE fruity fancy drinks!
This Herbal tea is just that, a fancy fruity drink: A delightful combination of lemon, hibiscus, orange peel, rose hips, and passion fruit flavors.
Easy to make in ten minutes or less! And a favorite way to start one’s day.
The Fella at Starbucks
When I work on posts for my blog I often do the work at Starbucks as it gives me the solitude I need to get anything done.
I work there often enough and always on the same days at the same times, that the employees have come to know my usual order: a grande whole milk steamer with 2 pumps of cinnamon dolce and 3 pumps of toffee nut syrup; topped with whipped cream and caramel.
Ha! Obviously I have a giant sweet tooth, or three…
Anyway, there is one fellow that works there who is quite flamboyant and always calls me “dearie” and “honey-lamb”.
More than a Steamer
A couple weeks back at a moment I should’ve been working, I was instead having a good cry and feeling all kinds of sorry for myself.
Finally, I decided it was time to pull myself together. I got myself out of the car I was boo-hooing in and then entered my usual Starbucks.
My employee friend took one look at me and said:
Oh Dearie, you okay?
I managed a half smile and told him I would be.
He responded with:
Honey-lamb you look like a steamer just ain’t gonna cut it for you today.
He was right; While food helps the heart, sometimes a steamer just isn’t enough; even when it is all kinds of delicious amazingness.
Passion Tango Herbal Iced Tea
I explained to the guy that I have kidney’s that want to die on me; So I am unable to drink things with caffeine.
He gave me my usual steamer and I got to work at a corner table.
However, a little while later this sweet guy brought me a cup of Passion Tango Herbal Iced Tea. He told me it’s a classy drink for a classy lady and should give me some happy energy.
I loved it!
So of course I had to find a way to recreate it. Luckily, it’s not hard! Just took a little experimenting…
I hope if you are having a hard day this cup of happy energy will help you feel better. And if you’re already having a happy day, then I hope it will give you a moment of feeling classy and sophisticated.
If you’re already happy, classy, and sophisticated; then I suppose you have everything! And I just hope you enjoy this lovely drink.
