Who wants a super cute, delicious and ultra easy to make Chocolate Ganache filled Donut Hole?
If you’re raising your (mental) hand right now then you’ve come to the right place!
I’ve teamed up with Give Bakery Because to bring you a super cute tutorial for this chocolate filled donut holes gift! Think: teacher appreciation, pick-me-up for a sad friend/ colleague, or just because.
“Give Bakery Because is gifting made more delicious!”
It celebrates life’s everyday occasions and moments, using easy, convenient and delicious products found in the Bakery section of your local grocery store.
The Bakery Section of your Local Grocery Store
Yes dear reader you read that correctly! These donut holes came from the bakery section at my local HEB.
Bakery run y’all – stop by the bakery department at your local grocery store and pick up a pack of glazed donut holes…
Then in these 3 easy steps I was able to deliver them to neighbors, family and friends with my little helper! Here’s what I did to create these bite size beauties:
- I filled the donut holes with a quick and delicious microwave chocolate ganache.
- Then, I packaged them up “oh so cute”. And finally,
- I attached this cute PRINTABLE tag, (<<< Click here for PDF printable!)
The Chocolate Ganache!
Y’all this is so incredibly easy to make! I do the entire thing in the microwave in under two minutes. See recipe below.
Once made, fill a piping bag with the chocolate ganache. For mess-free piping bag filling, put the bag in a jar or cup and fold the edges over (as seen in the image below). Once filled, pull the sides up and roll the top over.
Then you will poke the end of your piping tip into the donut hole and slowly fill it with chocolate.
“Oh So Cute!”
To package these delicious chocolate filled donut holes, I put them in cute disposable donut cups I found at HEB, then wrapped them in cellophane and tied it off.
Other cute packaging ideas include:
- Put the donut holes in a cute basket or pastry box with chocolate covered strawberries.
- Fill a mug with these chocolate filled donut holes and add a packet of your favorite coffee or cocoa mix.
- Put the donut holes in a plain colored disposable cup and wrap it in a cute printed plastic/ cellophane gift favor bag.
“Donut ya know?” Gift tag
I created two different gift tag options for these chocolate filled donut holes.
- Click here for the bright and cheery gift tags seen in this post.
- For a more holiday appropriate gift tag in gold and neutral tones (to use when gifting with cocoa or coffee), click here for printable tags.
Attach gift tags with string or ribbon.
Go brighten someone’s day!
Okay you are ready! Go brighten someone’s day and give them a cute cup of love!
Quick tip:
- If you will not be delivering these immediately, store in a cool dry place or even a refrigerator so the chocolate ganache doesn’t melt.
Our Story
A couple years back my life fell apart at the seams in a matter of seconds. After some weeks of sadness, I decided it was time for a change.
I started a “program” with my kids:
About once a week, and especially when any of us are feeling sorry for ourselves, we deliver dinner or goodies to an unexpecting person. I let my children pick the person each time and they have a knack for picking people who really needed a pick-me-up that day!
Gandhi said “The best way to find yourself is to lose yourself in the service of others.”
Dear Reader, along with Give Bakery Because, I encourage you to go make people happy, show them you care. And don’t forget to share your own tasty gifting creations on social media using #GiveBakery!
The happiest you will be is in the moments you’re happy because you’ve made someone else happy.
