Store bought meatballs that are taken above and beyond with an apricot glaze and a perfectly complimentary herb sprinkle.
Meatballs that are super easy to make, beautiful to serve, and delicious to taste.
Delicious Store Bought Meatballs:
So here’s the thing: I firmly believe in semi-homemade if it can taste as good as homemade. The goal of my blog is
“Gourmet living made simple”
And while most often that is dishes from scratch such as this delicious French toast you should try sometime, this particular meatballs dish a quick go-to I use for baby showers, parties, bridal showers, luncheons, etc… Easy to make meatballs that look gorgeous and taste delicious!
I usually use farm rich meatballs and my fave apricot BBQ sauce comes from Traeger, but really just use whichever are your favorite.
Meatball Dreams:
Disclaimer: This particular paragraph will give you no tips for making your meatballs. It’s just silliness; so I won’t be hurt if you skip over it and go on to the next.
So if you’ve read many of my dessert posts such as this Strawberry Lemon Napoleon (another bomb semi-homemade dish!!!), then you’ve read about the rough time my heart has experienced over the past few years.
(I’m getting stronger PS! You can read all about that journey on my Instagram feed in the Vulnerability posts though.)
One of the physical struggles the heartache has caused is sleeping issues. Occasionally, especially when I am stressed, I have terrible nightmares and struggle with PTSD from some of what I’ve gone through. On the norm, I usually only sleep for one to two hours at a time and often wake up having panic attacks or struggling with crazy anxiety.
I tell you this not because I want pity; I don’t. People have been through much worse than I have. I tell you so that you’ll understand why my recent 5 hours of sleep was such a huge deal.
Ninjas and Grocery Shopping
So it’s been a couple weeks now, but I still laugh about this night and this dream.
I went to bed thinking about purchasing the meatballs for this post and about a funny ninja conversation I’d had right before going to bed. I believe the two were the money combination because that night I had the same dream I have way too often, except not the same…
When the bad guy was coming at me I turned into a ninja! I didn’t cry and I didn’t cower. I turned into a freaking ninja dressed in all black! And I looked good. Hahaha.
And then suddenly I was in a grocery store, which made total sense the way dreams always do… I was a ninja in the HEB buying meatballs and karate chopping the air.
Yep, I’m cool like that. Ha!
What goes good with these easy Meatballs:
I usually serve these meatballs as an appetizer at parties. However they make a wonderful main dish as well. I suggest serving with:
- Potato Salad
- Rice
- Watermelon
- Crusty Bread
- Mac n Cheese
This is a more refined dish, but it actually has BBQ profile flavors, so it tastes great with BBQ sides.
