You guys! Big news- you need to go make these cookies! They really are the very best cookies ever of all time. And they’re even better on day two. Make a triple batch because everyone is gonna try and steal them from you and you’ll be depressed without them.
Dear reader, I know you’re here for the recipe. What’s about to follow this paragraph and picture is going to be some blah blah blahing on my part. Should you choose to skip to the pink outlined recipe at the bottom of the page: I will totally understand! However you may miss out on something deep and/ or hilarious.
You have been warned.
Saliva
Dear reader, by the end of the following story you will most likely be thinking one of two things:
- How can I meet this girl in real life?! She’s trouble and hilarious and awesomeness all rolled into one!
- Why in the heck in the world did she just tell a story about Saliva?!!!
Saliva: what a weird word. It actually sounds kind of dirty. It’s just spit though. Did you know I am a dang good spitter? For real.
Salivation: Makes me think of salivation spray. Have you ever heard of that? Dentists use it. It makes you salivate.
At one point in my life I was a dental assistant, and once upon a time I went to a dental conference. One of the booths at that conference was handing out sample size bottles of salivation spray. I got about 5 of those. The possibilities were endlessly fabulous!
I’m Boring
So about the time I was working as a dental assistant and getting salivation spray, I was also dating a guy that had a tendency to fall asleep anytime he was hanging out with me.
You know lots of people do that actually. All this time I thought I was an interesting person, but the more I think about it, the more realize I was totally wrong because it’s like I walk into a room and suddenly everyone falls asleep.
If I was to have a superhero alter ego I am pretty sure my name would be “Narcolepsy”.
Drool Baby
Well, if you know me very well at all, you know I have an inner devil. If you can’t guess what I did with that salivation spray then you don’t know me at all and you should totally get to know me. Start by reading this and this. Also, you suck at solving puzzles because the answer is totally obvious:
I sprayed it in my mouth and then drooled all over him of course!
Ha! If you believed a word of that last sentence then you need to get to know me better.
I sprayed it in his mouth and then laughed as he drooled all over himself… of course!
For some odd reason that relationship didn’t last very long… hmmm 🤔.
Warning!
Dear Reader,
At about this point you are probably remembering those questions I said you’d have and now you are wondering why in the heck in the world would I include that story in a white chocolate lime cookies post. The answer is this:
These white chocolate lime cookies are so dang delicious that you will salivate like you just drank a bottle of salivation spray!
Also, don’t eat the cookie dough, it’s got raw eggs and is therefore bad for you.
However, if you happen to slip and accidentally drop some in your mouth: then I totally understand. Happens to the best of us! And this is hands down the BEST cookie dough EVER ever EVER!
Enough talk, let’s eat cookies!
