Will you Marry me?
In my current city there are somewhere between zero to one good food choices.
This fabulous city has it’s pro’s, don’t get me wrong: Small town life, picnic Sundays, friendly people everywhere, a creek with ducks in it, a fabulous lake, etc… However I know I wont be staying here for life because of one small, yet very large factor: the food choices.
Can we be honest here for a minute?
The thing is, dear reader, I love food. Like really really really love it.
I know what you’re thinking:
If you love food so much, why don’t you marry it?
I’ve tried okay! Reader, I’ve tried…
Baby come back!
You see how I said we have between “zero to one”? That’s because we do have one good food choice in town, but it’s not always open and it’s service is hit and miss, so there’s that. Plus the food is mostly American and French, and I miss me some Asian food, oh so much!
More the lucky for you dear reader…
Why are you lucky you may be wondering?
No, no I not have a four leaf clover or a lucky rabbit’s foot that I will give you.
Lucky because I now am learning how to make all my favorite Asian food’s and I am so sweet as to share the recipes with you!
Yes, I know I know: I love you too!
Fast and Easy Lettuce Wraps
If you’ve tried my Beef and Broccoli recipe or my Yellow Curry Noodle Soup recipe, then you know that my Asian food recipes are even better than take out!
And now I have this Mongolian Beef Lettuce wraps recipe that is even faster than take out!
Maybe I will stay living here in small-(no Asian food restaurants)-town Texas after all!
We do have a Walmart, so we’re not that rural! Ha 😉
Speaking of Walmart: you can find the Mongolian and Soy flavored P.F. Chang’s® Home Menu Sauces for this delicious lettuce wraps recipe at your local Walmart. They are what make this recipe so quick and easy.
P.F. Chang’s Home Menu sauces are “Asian Cuisine made easy.”
Other fun flavor options include: Terriyaki, Sesame, and Kung Poa P.F. Chang’s® Home Menu Sauces.
PF Changs Homestyle Sauces
For this phenomenal recipe I use PF Changs Homestyle Mongolian Beef Marinade.
However, if you cannot find that sauce or do not want to use it for whatever reason, I highly suggest using the PF Changs Soy Sauce. They make this fast and easy meal so simple to put together and the flavors are phenomenal!
If substituting PF Changs Low SodiumSoy for Mongolian Sauce, add the following seasonings at the same time:
- 1/4 cup PF Changs Soy (rather than the 1/2 cup of Mongolian Marinade)
- 1tsp Ground Ginger
- 1 tsp Garlic Powder
- 2 TBS Honey
Follow all other instructions the same.
